Davy boy or the tubthumper!

You're only as old as the woman you feel.......!

Devizes, Wiltshire. I'm a country boy at heart.

I count myself lucky enough to have played with some of the better musicians from the local area so I guess those guys have helped to influence me and hopefully make me a better player.

I'd rather mention a favourite Saturday night band......If you've never seen the Quo live go do it before its too late!

Can't remember the last time I had a chance to chill on a Sunday morning! Can someone suggest something for me please.

Blimey, that must almost be the impossible question! The Who's Baba O'Riley (from the film The Kids Are Alright) is up there but for mellower moments one of Steve Perry's ballads - he is just the best. One of McCartneys ought to be in there somewhere too.

Anything with Jamie Lee Curtis in it really - shallow, I know! Oh and of course The Blues Brothers!

Watching, I think that was probably AC/DC on the Highway To Hell tour with Bon Scott. As for playing that was with my brother Mike and a couple of guys in a band called Daytona (I think...!) at Worton Village Hall in about 1979 or 1980. We were rubbish really but we had invited all our friends and family who loved us! I always knew that my brother would be the star cos he got dragged off stage at the end by a very pretty young lady.

That would be the 'Hello' album by The Quo which I think I went halves on with my brother. Can't for the life of me remember where we bought it though.

Any of the great drummers - Steve Smith, Cozy, Moonie, etc. I know, I should have practised more when I was younger.

Started playing quite late in life around age 19 which is something that I regret. However I'm still doing it when many who started before me have given up so I count my blessings.

First band I played in was called Daytona with my brother and another couple of guys (see above!). I then went on to play with anyone and everyone from the local area it seemed throughout the eighties...great times! Jazz with Razz Hopkins, Blues with Innes Sibun, Rock with Johnner Johnson, Pop/rock with Pete Amor, Soul with Alex McCraken and the clubs with Malcolm Connor. Recorded with all of the above (usually at Pete Lambs Music Workshop studios) and also with possibly the best songwriter/guitarist who should have made it big time - Bob Heath.

Met Shelly for the first time back in the 80's when his band The Motivators and my band Face To Face both played at an all day bikers gig in the wilds of Wiltshire. Those buggers should have been headliners as they really kicked ass, but they wanted to get bladdered so left it to us to close the show. Played in a soul band for a while - Against The Grain - on the back of that film! Met up with Shell again when he joined Gogs And The Reefers, one of the bands that I was playing with at the time. When the singer packed it in we advertised for a vocalist and this is when Jen came onto the scene and Kept In The Dark was born. This line-up lasted for about 2 years when I got the call to join Steve and the boys in Outhouse Critics, a band that was huge fun and incredibly successful. Jen and Shelly carried on with a few projects in the meantime until the circle was completed with the formation of About A Girl. Here's to the future....and I'm lovin it!

Where's that guy with his rock family trees!!!!

Premier Artist Series in Yellow lacquer - gorgeous! Kit comprises 22x18 kick, 10x8, 12x9 and 16x16 toms and a beautiful vintage 14x5.5 Premier 2000 parallel action snare for all you drumming anoraks out there. I also occasionally use a caramel fade laquer Tama 13x4 'piccolo' snare or the Yellow lacquer wood shell 14x5.5 snare that came with the kit. It all hangs from a Gibraltar rack and I use Sabian AAX cymbals + a Zildjian China and Vater 'Stevies Hit Maker' sticks.

Jack Daniels Old No. 7 - straight please, no ice. Oh and some cashews would be nice.
